Please could someone help me with Tacview?

Hey there,

 

I have Tacview premium and use it extensively in DCS. I've recently got into IL-2 and I'd like to watch back my campaign missions to understand what is happening after landing. I've added the Tacview config to the correct file, and pressing ctrl + r in game shows recording is happening. The problem I am having is that IL-2 is outputting a trk file, not ACMI. Tha tacview documentation doesn't mention this, and instead suggests I can just play the files in Tacview. Tacview says it doesn't support Trk files.

 

Has anyone solved this problem? I'd really appreciate the help!

no it will record acmi files for tacview. The trk file is the in game recording. On line servers often block it so that you cannot record. However campaign should record ok. With the proviso that you cannot replay them with the game running, you have to turn it off to view it in tacview

if you stll have the issue there is a forum thread for it under 3rd party apps. Ask there the writers are active there
