Ribbon Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 They describe it as Han Solo simulator, it might be interesting for space junkies, looking forward to it! 1
DD_fruitbat Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Yep, I'm looking forward to it to fill an elder scrolls hole!
LLv34_Flanker Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 S! Will definitely look into this game Thanks for the info!
unreasonable Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 I used to be an astronaut just like you, then I took a laser in the knee. 5
Tektolnes Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 Apparently there's going to be 12 planets and each planet's map is bigger than Skyrim. We'll be spending the rest of our lives on side quests. Looking forward to the game though. Hopefully it does a better job of getting you invested in the main storyline than Fallout 4 did where after a few dozen side quests I'd think what was I supposed to be doing again? Oh yeah.. my kid's missing and I'm meant to be hot on the trail. Sorry son.

Trooper117 Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 Count me in... it better not take as long as ''Squadron 42'' to turn up or I'll probably cry!
Tycoon Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 Looks really cool, pretty sure it's gonna be delayed past 2022 doe.

These games are created for ADHD patients A huge dragon wants the eat the world? I‘ll stop him! But there is civil war ravaging the land? I‘ll just end that first! Oh the fighters guild has petty mercenary problems? Those need my attention obviously! There is a thieves guild? I robbed so many graves - I should lead it! And when I think about I sometimes use healing spells on myself - I should strive for archmage! And when I think further - aren’t there assassins anywhere? I‘m already a mercenary so onward! But why are the flying lizards everywhere again? OOOHHH! 3

Trooper117 Posted December 11, 2021 Posted December 11, 2021 There are people always knocking Bethesda, but I've enjoyed their games and had a lot of fun playing them... I've already noticed on various forums the knives are well and truly out bashing Starfield already and the bloody thing isn't even close to release yet. 1

I'll be buying it regardless!!!!
PatrickAWlson Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 I cranked up Skyrim again. It's still fun. 1

It has some new quests that are fun, plus, I have got most of my many mods working with it. I really don't like Skyrim n VR. Feels clumsy and makes me want to puke. 1

PatrickAWlson Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 I am an unabashed fan of Bethesda open world games. I see all of the criticisms and, to some extent see the point, and then I don't care. They're just fun.

One day I'll start my own mining company while using my competitors' resources to drive them out of business. Invest in Dirty Ores Mining Company today!

I do a lot of mental role playing with Bethesda games. I play through the whole game with one character. My character is always a bit of a clown. The original start works well, but I also use the live another life mod and start as "left for dead". He may save the world a few times, but it's more of a lark than anything else. I use this character to join all of the guilds because - why not? If the mages guild is going to let him in with only a few minor spells, hey, let's have fun with it. It's all just a game. Once he is done with a guild quest line he walks away. Responsibility is boring. I contract vampirism before doing the Dark Brotherhood guild to excuse that one. That knocks off both the vampirism play line and the DB play line. Then I finish the DB quest line and get cured. In the words of Monty Pythion - "I got better". On side quests, if I think the reward is cheap or I am otherwise dissatisfied, I pick the quest giver's pocket or steal something. It's all good fun. One of the complaints about Bethesda games is the lack of character depth. However, the flip side of that argument is that you get to be whatever character your mind can create. I appreciate Bethesda games for the freedom to create my own character.
BlitzPig_EL Posted June 10, 2022 Posted June 10, 2022 I've been looking for a single player space game to take up the slack since I just can't do another play through of Mass Effect. Hope this one fills that gap, but it will be a long wait till next year for it.

Trooper117 Posted June 11, 2022 Posted June 11, 2022 Yes, it's supposed to be coming out towards the end of this year...
Props Posted June 11, 2022 Posted June 11, 2022 I've been paying close attention to this one, hoping for something new and different. It was originally scheduled for release this year late fall, but they recently delayed it for sometime in 2023 supposedly in "early" 2023. Of course there's always Star Citizen that may be released sometime in 2050......

Thank you for doing something CR won't do. I won't quite be 90 and can enjoy it on my Holodeck!! Here I thought I wasn't going to live to enjoy the SC release (he says very optimistically).

Don't worry, by the time SC goes out you'll be 90 but tech and medicine will be advanced (90's are new 20's) and you'll play SC while in warp supercruise to M57 Crab Nebula to visit your grankids on college 2

By the time they finish adding underwear to pants interface/friction coefficient physics we’ll be well into 2092. 1
