Aligning xxx &1#1.dds with &1.dds while using photoshop

I've tried using UVmaps to align tanks w/ skirts (Pz III & V), but I'm having a hell of a time getting it right I've printed out screenshots with tanks using a UVmap. No matter how much I try, I can't seem to get the paint edges to line up properly with both &1#1.dds & &1.dds.

 

Does anyone have a good template that will allow me to paint these tanks without the hassle of copying & pasting, start the game, load the skin, and view the skin in game? Granted, I just started learning Photoshop, but it's most discouraging to go through this process time & time again only to see how I "F'd up" once again.  Any help would be appreciated.

i never use maps, no need to really, easiest way is just persevere with learning the template, i use a picture of the tank and then its easy to align each part.

also use the ruler to get exact measurement if your stuck.
