Where are the in-depth space combat sims?

OK, I'll stick my neck out and conjecture that Star Citizen will be complete within the next ten years. Give or take a year. But I am glass half full kind a guy.

I don´t mean the game.. i mean the mentality!

 

 

If you can bug tanks into space.. that is kinda cool. I mean.. yeah, it does not make sense how the tank guns relate in power to the spaceship guns and all that.. but I bet it can be extremely silly and funny if they go down that road more.

This isn't a simulation where you sit in cockpit but more like combat mission in space. Hardcore space combat anyway. It is just released and only features skirmish battles and ship designing at the moment.

Privateer is my all time favorite space game.  Starfield looks like it is going to borrow heavily from Privateer, right down to pirate and religious nutter factions.  If all goes well, we'll see what we get later this year.
