Realistic Bomb Drop Height Server Restriction - Give Tankers a chance

Just been chatting in the Tank forum about the chances in real life of a tank actually being killed by an aircraft.
It seems that people flying in this game are getting around this historical kill rate by dropping their bombs at unrealistic heights as would rarely have happened in real life. Tankers then are subject to unrealistically accurate bombing from aircraft that in my experience give them an amazing kill rate against an often singular Tank player with no support to defend them that has just driven for 15 or 20mins (in the finish server) and has not even fired a shot yet. Who is outnumbered in most servers by aircraft players and therefore has a much higher chance of being vulched so to speak.

A suggestion to get more tankers in game would be to show just how survivable tanks were in real life, especially against aircraft. In reality aircraft of the bomb variety had a <5% chance of killing a tank. In game in my experience it is closer to 100%. People seem to be suggesting this is because low level bombing in il2 is far lower than it would be in real life.

Suggestions for a fix for this would would potentially allow more tank players might be:

- introduce a server restriction that does not allow release of bombs below the historically used heights (reasonable height)

- A no points for bombing below X height server setting
- A tank respawn on the spot mechanic for being destroyed from below X height with bombs

- Introduce a bomb arming server setting that allows you to bomb below X height for no damage. The flier may see an explosion and wonder why the tank is unscathed or alternately the bomb may not cause an explosion at all because it did not arm.

If it is near misses that are destroying the tank. Well then that is a different mechanic that would need to be addressed. I wonder if the devs have those in game statistics.

All of those things would just serve to piss people off.

Let me translate it from English into simple and understandable:

Give us, please, options to block some types of fuses, by analogy with blocking of some types of bombs or guns for planes.

For example - bombs with a fuse delay greater than or equal to 5 are can not be selected.

Aircraft are more deadly towards tanks in game for a few reasons, but bomb fuses are not one of them.

Tanks are far easier to spot ingame than in reality due to the lack of ground clutter

Many IL2 pilots are more combat experienced than their real counterparts, especially because we have feedback about our success that was unavailable in wartime, and unlike real pilots, we can learn from our deadly mistakes

There is often no AAA covering tanks

Pilots are willing to take bigger risks

Tanks ingame are frequently in predictable locations due to spawn points

Pilots in IL2 do not have a "one pass" mentality that real pilots often had

Tanks are far, far more frequently attacked in IL2 than they were in reality

I'm sure there are other reasons, but all of them are about psychology and perception, rather than mechanics.

I don't think restricting delays is the way forward. Furthermore, I doubt it would even be very effective.

Instead, I'd like to see respawning, light AAA covering tanks in more missions. That will soon put off low level, repeated attacks.

I have yet to fly online but I think you have just convinced me to start.  Does anyone have a map of those tank spawn points?

There are a lot of factors as to why it's different to IRL. Major point would be AAA. You wouldn't want to drop your bomb directly on top of a tank because a guy with an MP40 stood next to it could easily mean you get shot down.

There already is a minimum arming time for instant fused bombs. If this really is a prevalent issue, they you could perhaps see if they could allow the bomb fusing to be locked by the server. Other than that, there isn't a huge amount you can do apart from make sure you have a AAA truck with you.
