Flying_Colander Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 Was browsing the racks at my local news stand and discovered PC Pilot's review of Spit40s work. Check it out. 1
Chief_Mouser Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 Haven't read the review but have built a few bits of Authentikit stuff, hoping to use it in a Ju88 panel I'd like to build. It is well designed, prints out well and works perfectly. The 3D-CAD files are free, which is a superb gift to everyone, and now they've announced that a set of Mosquito controls is in the works. Really looking forward to that - it might put my Ju88 stuff on the back burner for a while. ? If you haven't had a look then head over to AuthentiKit.org – Modular Flight Control System and give it a whirl. There's a good few videos too: AuthentiKit - YouTube.
Spit40 Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 Thanks for the mention folks. That article was a real morale boost to keep pushing on with this project. Here's the latest control out now for the P-40 with some super new tech being introduced for the first time - hydraulic damping so you get a decent strength of resistance. If you're new to this, AuthentiKit is a freeware project and the controls are made from kits, but they're easy to assemble (Airfix style without soldering, cutting, workshop tools) in about 90 mins as this video shows. A little project for the Christmas break? You don't need a 3d printer either - with our quality checked AuthentiKit Community Approved Printer scheme there's simmers-with-printers around the world who'll print for you for a very fair price. 2 2
