Having horrible time with Vr+Vive Cosmos

Hello everyone,

Just purchased BOS/Great Battles(whatever is called) in steam the other day after getting a HTC Vive and realsing i better finally move on from 1946 which i have many thousands of hours in because it lacks native vr support. So im totally new to this version il2 and VR and im having an aweful time to be honest. Ive had lots of hardlocks with display/gpu going down and i constantly get this bug which you can see in the screenshot i will attach, hard to describe, i have tried google for fixs but come up emty. Pc all up to date drivers wise no bloatware, 5900x cpu, rtx3080 and 32gb of ram. Passed firestrike extreme stress test (20 loop stress, not just bench and been running non vr games for a long time zero problems, full custom loop with 3x360 rads and 9 3k industrial noctuas, so dont even mention temps because they are a total non event) and vr works perfectly fine in DCS, which is the only other VR title i currently have installed to even try. It does work ok sometimes when it launches without this bug, but will often crash after a while,i may get a mission or 2 in carrer max, this bug i get shown in screenshot just randomly happens after coming back without changing anything. Sometimes I  can get it to launch by going in and resetting graphics to default, re-enabling vr and restarting but not always. Ive tried launching it from the running the exe or in steam vr itself.Unpluggeing the headset, restring system, steam etc etc and sometimes i just magically actually get it to launch but the fun is short lived  Hopefully some people way more experienced with this title and vr will be able to help because while it works it is amazing fun and i did just driop a fair bit of cash into it and some extras. It launches in normal boring flat mode no problem, as you can see in background it appears to be running correct but the display sent to goggles (shown in small mirror window forground) is baulked.

The crashes actually turned out to be a faulty GPU,I was able to induce crashes with extended 3dmark torture tests and returned the card  to place of purchase and they confirmed it  was faulty, waiting  for a replacement evga one , damn you Gigabyte no more purchases from me ever! No crashes with my trusty old 1080 so at least thats a win.

The random issue with the display i still have, i just re-launch a few times and eventually get it to run properly, i  think if i launch it from viveport it mostly launches fine, launching from steam or steam vr seams to induce the display bug pictured. Not a big deal, at least im able to play now, is a wonderful experience in vr i must say,  i enjoy it a lot, i just wish i had the aircraft options i have been so used to with old modded 1946.
