Tank Crew Question

I am starting to make "Combined Arms" missions where Tank Crew is an element for those I fly with who have TC.  It also supplies more motivation for pilots doing close ground support.

One thing I have noticed is you can't choose any skin but the default.  Not even another "stock" skin such as making a Sherman look Russian.  Even when I pick USSR for the Coalition I get a blank skin.

Am I missing something?  (wouldn't surprise me)
