If you could only play one Great Battles game, which would it be?

For me, the big standouts in BoK’s plane set are mostly on the VVS side of things - the P-39 has a unique design and armament, the A-20 is a versatile medium bomber and ground attack aircraft (even more than the Pe-2 - the radial engines and somewhat heavier forward armament are basically begging you to shoot up some trucks on your way back from bombing a factory), the IL-2 mod. 1943 stands out from the others thanks to the .50 cal rear gun and PTABs, and the Yak 7 is the second most heavily armed Yak in the entire game - and I’d argue it’s a better dogfighter than the Yak 9T thanks to the higher rate of fire.

 

There’s also the collector’s Hs-129 for the Axis that came with the premium edition. I personally prefer using the Bf-110 G-2 for anything the 129 can do, but it’s still a really interesting and fun plane to use.

normandy obviously cos its got a mosquito. What possible other reason do you need? Even though its something of a hotspotch of plane types its still got a mosquito.

As an American, the Eastern front just doesn't capture my interest to the extent that the theaters my country fought in, do.

 

Give me a single PTO theater, and you'll never see me fly another Euromap.

Moscow. I highly rate Stalingrad too. Kuban never blew me away and, regardless of plane sets, Boddenplatte and FC seemed to be a backwards step in both map making and AI/ATC coms which I fear Normandy will repeat. I hope Im proved wrong.
