Iceni_Queen Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 I have an HP Reverb G2 with new cables. When I loaunched Mixed Reality, then Steam VR, then launch IL-2, it always takes 2 or more times for IL-2 to load. I have to kill all the apps, try again, and kill it again, then the 3rd time it usually launches. Anyone ever run into that, and is there a fix?
javelina Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Not in front of my gaming rig. But I do this. Launch WMR for SteamVR, which then launches automatically SteamVR. Then I startup Voice Attack, and then IL-2. No issues with getting into VR. Are you starting first with WMR for SteamVR? It is different than WMR. Don't use WMR.
Charlo-VR Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Also, once SteamVR is launched, move the headset a little to see if is accepting the 6dof of motion, and be sure the room is lit well enough for the inside-out cameras to track motion. Then launch IL-2.
Iceni_Queen Posted November 4, 2021 Author Posted November 4, 2021 If I launch Steam VR, nothing displays on my head set. It only displays if I launch the WMR then launch Steam VR

Move the headset around a little bit to ensure it's recognized in all DOF, then quit WMR. Then, launch Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR (I forget where I downloaded that from, probably from Steam), which in turn launches SteamVR. Again, once the headset is recognized, more the headset around a little bit to be sure it recognizes all DOF. If it does, then you can launch IL-2. Oh - and before launching IL-2, in the IL-2 launcher be sure the "Enable VR" setting option is checked. I think you already know most of the above, I just list it all in case someone else new to VR is also reading this thread ?
