Youtube videos of IL2 in VR?

Hello!

I have a question about the videos in VR we can watch on youtube.

To me, many of them look to have an amazing good quality, is that the picture the player see in their own headset or is that recorded in some other way??

I ask because I am VERY FAR away from that quality even if I have higher spec hardware than many of the people uploading these videos.

This would be good to know so that I am not expecting something that is not achievable?

I would be very happy if I can get my sim to look like that!

What hardware and HMD are you using?

I understand that I can not get as good quality as the guys running top of the line equipment, but I am kind of disappointed of the results I got from my Reverb G2, 5800X and 3080 so far! Guess I will have to keep trying different settings, problem is I dont know which ones will have the biggest impact on image quality?

Customizer171, check this link out to help setup your VR properly for the G2:  

I was not impressed with how my G2 looked a while back either, but these settings helped a lot.  Also, if you increase your resolution while dumbing down other graphic settings the extra fine resolution more then makes up for what you lose graphically by switching off some settings within IL-2.  I have my system locked at 45 FPS and don't see any loss of spotting ability verse running at a solid 90 FPS, plus that enabled me to increase resolution even more.  My view within the G2 is better then that video up top, but I'm only looking at it on a 1080P screen at the moment here, though...
