ShampooX Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Awesome. See you on the Finnish Virtual Pilot Server soon. It's under "Dogfights" 1
[KG]Destaex Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Good video. Really light AAA and AA in most of that video. At this stage in the war they did not have much mobile AA. So most attacks would have been very vulnerable without air cover.

ShampooX Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 (edited) 3 hours ago, [KG]Destaex said: How long do you have to drive on these servers and when you get their what do you face? It really depends on what you like to do. The Capture Points (CP) are usually about a 10-15 minute drive from either sides tank spawn. There are two CP's for each mission, each in a different sector, so you have a choice as to what CP you may capture....that is if that's your thing. Once you get there expect other live enemy tanks to be there or nearby. There are also front lines in each sector consisting of enemy AI "fire bases" and supply depots, artillery positions, etc.... and you can spend a lot of time and gain a lot of stats taking these targets out: trucks, tanks AA and AT guns, bunkers etc. They can be long or short drives and depending on their distance from enemy tank spawns you might see a live enemy there but the chances are a little less. In between these main objectives there are tons of things you can do: set up an ambush at a strategic intersection or a bridge you know the enemy will likely travel by, raid an enemy airfield (usually a longer drive but much much more fun). Or you can get an AA truck and park it near your own fortifications and wait for an enemy plane to make an attack. ACG_Jackman posted a really good beginners tutorial on YT and includes some of how to play on the Finish server. Check it out. But if you are comparing the typical FVP "drive time" to the single player missions in TC, the FVP maps are much larger and take more driving time to get around - but with all the planes buzzing overhead, you'll never be bored, LOL. Most of us tankers who play it think it's easily the best combined arms multiplayer sim in the world at moment. Edited November 8, 2021 by ShampooActual 1 1

[KG]Destaex Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Yes. I like the drive sometimes, when real life permits. It is atmospheric but I fear that it is underrated because of the "poorer cousin" effect. On steam for instance nobody sees me playing tank crew but il2... most tankers seem to be weekend warriors that's main squeeze is the flight sim modules as a result. Rather than having attracted a buckethead only crowd. Specialists.
