In conclusion ... inconclusive

S! all

J5 Loppnow was doing recon B and asked us for an escort, J5 Zkat, Klopstick and me obliged, with J5 Ragnutz joining me later. The recon was successful. 76 Sqdn and another Se5 tried to stop us. S! to all the pilots. At the end it was inconclusive because we had no idea if we had shot anyone down or whether they all made it home. I like how our engagements with 76 Sqdn feel immersive.

Soundtrack - The good, the bad and the ugly by Ennio Morriconi, Guardians of the Galaxy theme, Twist and Shout by the Rabeats and Going down by Freddie King (Eastbound and Down theme tune).

Looked like a great fight. Those SE5a's got shot up pretty good! I saw lots of holes in them and lots of hits, but they held up under the stresses of maneuvering. I wonder if it was because most of the hits were from large angles, not directly behind? Looks like Father Ted and Bulldog were turning pretty hard to try and get on you to clear you off their tail. If I have help nearby, I've started to try and use a flat scissors to set up my partner for a shot on whoever is following me. That means making reversals a bit sooner so I don't hold the turn as long. My opponent is usually still rolling to try and follow me as I reverse back and forth in front of him, but his movements aren't as extreme as mine, and he's an easier target for my partner than I am for him. Of course, 76 seems to know what they're doing in the SE5a, so I'm not gonna complain too hard about their fighting techniques!

I first heard the spaghetti western theme music in a 90's FPS called Outlaws. Little did I know that my Western-themed Doom-clone had such great inspiration!

Love your videos and its always nice to see such positive comments towards No.76 Squadron. Every time we see green tails we know its going to be a well fought fight! S to you at J5 and hope to meet you lot again and again! Certainly right with the immersion between the Squadrons dogfights, usually the highlight of my evening! S!

Yet again, another excellent viddy, Mr Daedallus, and thank you, kind sir! It is a tricky one with the Se5A: our advantage is speed. Pull sudden moves and rudder authority and we have the speed and grace of a London bus in rush hour. I trim and try to fly fast and keep speed up at all times, hence we could escape when the D.7 turned up, which was tricky and nasty. Still, all went home for schnapps and a big cup of Earl Grey!

And I love Spaghetti Westerns. I held an event in 1997 I think in Brixton and Franco Nero was there. And we had the whistler on stage from The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. Those were the days...
