Talisman Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 Hi folks, I have two questions below for anyone kind enough to be able to offer some advice: 1. Is Win 10 game mode any use for IL-2 GB? Windows 10 game mode on or off for IL-2 GB? 2. Also, regarding 'Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling' (allows graphics card to manage its own video memory (VRAM) instead of the operating system). The feature was introduced in the Windows 10 May 2020 Update. Again the same question. Is this any use for IL-2? On or off for il-2? I use VR and my system specs are detailed below. Don't know if benefit or hamper IL-2 series, but I see a NVidia employer advising leaving game mode ON for games in general.

IckyATLAS Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 I did some tests with a complex mission with a lot of planes and objects and visual effects and I can say that Game Mode did not benefit at all and I even noted a loss sometimes about 1 or 2% with Game mode ON. I was using a 11900K CPU with a Nvidia 3090Ti. So IL2 is not the game that will benefit from this mode. I am sure that it may benefit much more from a 12900K CPU. As for Win11 I do not know if someone tested IL2 with it yet. Some gaming tests have shown that at the moment Win10 is at paar or slightly better than Win11.
