IL-2 Sturmovik - Battle of Moscow

Piloting the MiG-3 series 24 over the "Vnukovo" airport

Trying to remember how I was capable to perforom aerobatics in flight simulator in the past ))

Practice is presented in three points of view: ground fixed, cockpit, wing-mounted. The cameras are deliberately not artistic, so that it would be possible to compare the physics of the aircraft and the picture of aerobatics with reality.

Flight plan (5 minutes):
1. Take-off
2. Chandelle
3. Loop
4. High-G U-Turn
5. Roll
6. 360° Turn
7. Left Skewed Loop
8. Right Skewed Loop
9. Split-S
10. Zoom
11. Spin
12. Land

Han,

thanks for sharing !!!

There is something special / unique about IL-2 Great Battles, regarding the flight dynamics and overall physics modeling that still makes this being my Go-To sim when I feel rather disappointed with what the rest offers, being it civil or combat.

Would be wonderful if one day 1G/777 cod invest in historical aircraft of the 20s, 30s, 40s... up to the 60s of the 20th Century, as well as allowing for flights between well recreated towns represented according to how they looked like back then ...

Gliders, even those used in WW2, would be yet another great addition  ?

Han, finally a question ? - you write "ho I was able to perform..."  Aren't you anymore ? ?  I believe you are, provided you get the time from the certainly stressful job you got, creating all of the excellent flight models we get in IL2 !!!

At least I'm keep trying )))

Yep, it would be great to expand our sim world not only in space but also in time.))

I'm afraid I have to tell you guys that I'm not really interested in space simulation.

Have a nice day.

Time travel simulation interests me even less.

There are mind-trips also, but I have no dreams about such kind of evolution )))

On the OP, Han has recorded a few great examples of aerobatics flown in different IL2 Great Battles aircraft.

All of those videos bring me a unique sensation of realism. Of course I sometimes try to replicate it, with no success, but I am sure that if I kept trying I would get there :-)
