Blitzen Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 Recently all my third party campaigns stopped working, even when placed in the correct place in the CloD folder in My Documents. I tried everything including un-installing the game , doing so with the CloD folder renamed so it would be working or not by putting a “-“ in front of the folders name. When it was de-activated the game still worked with stock campaigns.Nothing I did got the third campaigns working with DWT , leaving me with basically a stock game EXCEPT all the single missions added over the years are still up & working. I’m not sure what’s going on but it appears the “old” CloD folder in My Documents might be the problem. Any ideas?

Blitzen Posted October 29, 2021 Author Posted October 29, 2021 No unfortunately it has not been solved. I got some good suggestions but so far nothing has solved this problem.

I would recommend you remove the campaigns you want, then delete any il-2 folder completely, then start the game and let it regenerate the folder. Then add the campaigns you have put aside to the correct folders as per the description which was given on the ATAG forum.

As you can see I have a pretty stock installation, except all of my Steam game installs are in my added E: Drive .Everything worked just fine until recently and then was told I needed to move third party campaigns over to Documents /1c Softclub/ CloD/mission/campaign /custom (and into a new 'custom" folder there.) No matter what I try they don't show up in game play.

Then add your saved files to the correct folder as per the instructions on ATAG.
Blitzen Posted November 3, 2021 Author Posted November 3, 2021 So far as i can tell its not re-generating.
zzzxxxxzzz Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 It could have something to do with Windows permissions, if not, I don't know what it could be, antivirus?

And the game are running - you are able to fly a mission, example Quick Mission? Because if are able, you have another 1c SoftClub... in some place outside documents, and game are reading .INI's from there. 1

What drive is the game installed in? Is it in the C drive?

CloD is in my external E:Drive but the 1CSoftclub folder is in the ? drive where it was originally installed. Edited November 4, 2021 by Blitzen
Blitzen Posted November 4, 2021 Author Posted November 4, 2021 Just found & deleted all saved copies of 1C SoftClub in E; - tere were two.Now the only copy is in C:/ / Documents folder , but there still seems to be no working connection with the "Blitz" version in Steam. So still no 3rd party campaigns are in game.?
BladeMeister Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Read this, especially the last post by sokol1. This file he provided has to be in each 3rd party campaign folder. Hope this helps. S!Blade<><
Blitzen Posted November 4, 2021 Author Posted November 4, 2021 Ok- I've done this ( several times) and here is a screenie of what's in the 1cSoftClub / CloD/ Campaigns folder: ( can you spot any problems here? It still doesn't work.
9./JG52_J-HAT Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 (edited) Blitzen, you deleted all but one instance of the folder. Have you checked if it got created again somewhere else or was the one on D : the only one left? I‘d suggest delete all of them and leave none. Then see where CloD rebuilds it. This way you will be sure it is the correct files. Crap, this is what happens when you don‘t read the latest post before answering. ? You only have one left in C that got created after you started the game. Got it. Do you apso see changes to the ini files there when you change bindings or e.g. in game resolution? Stolle Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Blitzen, I think the answer to your problem can be found in the link provided by BladeMeister above. I had a similar problem to yours. What I found was that the campaign folders for the campaigns do not contain a Campaign.mis file. I down loaded the Campaign zip file provided by Sokol1 in that post. Unzip that file to the desktop, then right click and copy. Open each campaign folder and check if it contains a Campaign.mis file, if it does not have this file then paste the campaign.mis file into each campaign folder. Your campaigns should now show up in game.
Blitzen Posted November 6, 2021 Author Posted November 6, 2021 Thanks everyone,I did find more than one copy of the 1CSoftClub folder ( 3 or 4 as a matter of fact- long story...) and found the one in C:/Users/Documents that was/is synced to the Steam install.I deleted all the rest in various drives, so now I have only one ( working) 1C SoftClub folder in the ? drive, then Icleaned up Steam install and checked temporary files as well. All good ...BUT still no joy, even with the most simple install in custom folder- see below: Any ideas, gang?? Deep breath...after one last un-install & reinstall ,everything seems to be working!!! Thanks gang mark this: SOLVED! 3

I hope everyone understands the issue was not game created, it was a function of the errors in where the user installed and placed his folders.

Yep apparently my fault made obvious when switch to new placement of Campaigns was required. A much longer and more boring story than that but let's leave it here and once again say thank you!One of my two favorite flight sims is whole again!? 1
