Iceni_Queen Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Running a AMD 3600 on a 3060 32 RAM Reverb G2 The graphics I was running was ultra, but I have noticed that in combat, pulling back and pushing forward on the joystick it will not respond, side to side is fine. It has almost killed me a few times. Outside of combat, it is fine. Do you think it is the settings? And if so, what do you suggest? Not using VR the Ultra is fine even with my Tobi OH, and VR is now the ONLY way to play, the depth of field is SO good, it is so immersive
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 (edited) Reverb G2 with the version 2 cable? Do you have an on/off switch on the break-out box? If not: There's your interference with your other USB devices. Edited October 29, 2021 by SCG_Fenris_Wolf
Iceni_Queen Posted October 29, 2021 Author Posted October 29, 2021 (edited) It happend with the old and the new cable that I got today. As for on/off switch? Not familiar with it. ANd if you turn it off, how does it work because it needs power, doesn't it? Edited October 29, 2021 by Iceni_Queen
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 (edited) The new cable has an on/off switch. If you received a cable today that does not have a switch, you have received another old one. The new cable fixes instabilities the G2 suffers from on AMD Motherboards. These affect other USB devices as well. That's the point. ? Edited October 29, 2021 by SCG_Fenris_Wolf
Charlo-VRde Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 (edited) The on/off switch on the new cable is just a small, subtle button on the flat side of the breakout box (the side without printing on it). Unlike the original cable (two of which died on me), this second version cable can actually turn off power from the headset when not being used. That’s right, the original cable was designed to keep the headset powered on all… the… time. That power switch button on the new cable is clearly designed by engineers who didn’t consider how the rest of us would use a switch like that, or would expect it to look ? Iceni_Queen Posted October 29, 2021 Author Posted October 29, 2021 So it has the little button. But if you use the VR, and you use the joystick, then the VR needs power. So thus, no power on the VR, you cannot use it. Sounds like a VR or Joystick one or the other. And the issue is the Joystick only has an issue in combat. And only pushing forward or pulling back. Side to side is fine.
Iceni_Queen Posted October 29, 2021 Author Posted October 29, 2021 So, tried using VR with the light off, it doe snot work as I suspected. SO... this is not the issue with the joystick not working to climb or dive and the headset. Anyone one else have a thought? Graphic settings? If so what do you suggest
Iceni_Queen Posted October 29, 2021 Author Posted October 29, 2021 Think I solved it. Look slike the cable on my Fighterstick is bad. Calibrated and was not responding. Used my T16000 and it worked fine 1
