I think this is a good idea.  The weakness of Berloga or the CB training server is that both have two arena areas with a static set of planes fighting at fairly low altitude.  I could see dogfight server with quick historical scenarios that just feature a couple airplanes on each side, along with some AI bombers or attackers to add some flavor.  109F-4s and C202s escorting some Ju88s attacking "Malta", trying to fend off Spitfire Vbs.  20 minutes later, 109G-6s and FW190A-5s vs La-5FNs and Yak-9s trying to cover some IL-2s in late 43/early 44.  20 minutes later, P-51Bs and P-47Ds escorting some high altitude bombers against G-6 lates and A-6s etc.  You could have dozens of different scenarios ranging from high altitude bomber escort to low level dogfights.  Heck, we're about to have a Ju88C-6 and a Mosquito - match those up over the water with some AI bombers on each team hunting ships or submarines as a Bay of Biscay scenario.  I'd love to have something like that to play when I don't have a hour plus to devote to longer format MP action.

Then you did not understand how to play HLL. If you dont want to work as a team, dont play HLL.

With career mode, I'd get streaks. I.e., on Monday, escort these slow bombers half an hour across the map, fend off some migs, then do it again on Tuesday. Realistic as that may be, I have more fun changing up the missions (and you can even pick missions that career mode won't generate, like strafing an airfield in Bf 109s). And air-spawning shortly before contact is great. It reminds me of playing Microsoft's CFS 1 & 2 as a kid, where you could just press 'e' to warp to the next waypoint.

 

Berloga exists, but it's more like the simple quick missions, as I understand it. It's just fighters dueling fighters with no mission other than dueling, right?

 

Quick missions (advances)are training purposes only. Career mode is both more realistic and provide continuity through a career. Plus, after a long mission, coming back wounded and landing safely can be a challenge onto itself. It can also be rewarding to nurse a a/c back to base. That part is completely lost in a quick mission.

 Nobody plays a game to be an online slave, in his own time.

 HLL is for larpers.

 

I played HLL during a free weekend. I do not remember anyone being jerks. For me, it is less serious than PS, but light years better than the gamers on Holdfast. Besides, someone more experience with game is going to have a lot more knowledge about what you need to do than you do. If you think otherwise, then MP isn't for you. (at least where teamwork is required).
