Why there is a Stereo-mirrored-view on the monitor when using Virtual Reality and not only 1 as normally is?

As I was asking already on that thread but they recommended me to post here, here it is.

So.... why there is a Stereo-Mirrored-view?

I'm struggling to set the mirrored-view of the game in the monitor into a single view, a normal one.

Right now it is being displayed with left and right eyes on the monitor and it is very annoying to see, annoying to record direct gameplay, annoying to take a screenshot, and it is actually taking out some performance.

So... it doesn't make sense at all.

Is there any way to configure the mirrored view to be seen in one single screen without Stereo view?

It would be great to have a setting to configure this by the player's choice.

Thanks for your attention!

It originally only displayed one eye view on monitor, not sure why they changed that.

There were some people in the community asking for that. Not sure why they listened to them, it's was a bad decision.

They have been publicly asked to put it on the right eye, and the response was "why now the change back, you (the community) asked for this".

I don't know who asked but it's idiotic, it makes it impossible to watch while another one plays.

Not to mention problematic to record and stream video. I'd also prefer the right eye view if only to put a proper head position looking through the gunsight on axis planes, which are mostly offset to the right. So, as far as that's concerned, it's a question of function over fashion.

I run a RiftS and had been running opencomposite for better performance. In Oculus mirror, either eye can be selected but there's still a problem with a restricted FOV on the opposite side. I've since switch to SteamVR and swallowed the performance hit in order to take advantage of the NeckSafer app for which my C lumbars are thankful. Using the SteamVR mirror, both, either, or one eye dominant blended views can be selected. Right eye dominant works but you can see where the views blend on the left side. It's not perfect but it's the best solution I've found.

A proper game capture without a banged up FOV would be preferable over either of the above IMHO.
