I got pretty frustrated with how useless the encoders in the Virpil throttles are. Looked around and thought that maybe i could get a custom dial to go along. I found this on Etsy and asked the seller if they could customize it by adding two more rotaries. The seller was very quick to reply and was very easy to communicate with him. Highly recommended.

The rotaries are incredibly smooth and high quality (metal), the enclosure is 3D printed.

I wasn't sure where i would place the new encoders but ended up using 3M double sided pads to attach it to my throttle:

I decided to post this just in case it solves anyone's frustrations with encoders.

I use JoystickGremlin to turn my encoders to axis and they work really well that way. I don't use them for IL-2 but I use the thimb wheel for MNL RNG in the F-16C and works really really great.

How do you have that set up?  I use JoystickGremlin as well but never found a good way to make the encoders work.
