Jooyz Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 I am interested also on this topic, i am thinking about buying a new PC and i don't know what budget should i consider for Il-2, Someone is speaking on forums that the 1000 nvidia cards have problems with shimmering horizont and land ... So what PC specs should we consider of ?
J2_Steve Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 The minimum spec for IL2 is from when the game was launched. That spec is absolute minimum and I wouldn't advise using it as a benchmark. You really should be looking at a CPU with good single thread performance, the best you can afford and likewise on the GFX. I prefer NVidia/Intel so am a little biased in that respect. But the rule still applies. See what you can afford and get the best performing you can afford to get the best out of the game. If you are also thinking about VR you will need CPU/GFX/Ram near the higher end of the scale to make that work. I have tested a Quest 2 on an old I5 and 1050 ti, which was adequate with everything bottomed out, but I would certainly not recommend it as a permanent set up. I use Passmark for hardware benchies to help me make the right choices. Passmark also has a single thread table, which is where you should be looking when choosing a CPU PassMark Software - PC Benchmark and Test Software My current Rig is a I9-10900K and RTX3080 with 32GB of 3600 ram. That runs an Index and a 32" 2560x1440 on high to ultra settings quite comfortably
