Nice screenshots, but not really very Channel-like. Hopefully when we get the Normandy map, the cliffs will be a bit more vertical. Different geology, and a different erosion process, making them very distinctive.

Like I said 'filling in for".

Yeah, sorry if I came across a bit snarky, it wasn't intended. It's certainly a spectacular spot on the Kuban map, and your screenshot captures it well.

To expand on my comment on erosion processes, if anyone is interested, the reason the Cliffs of Dover are so vertical is that the initial erosion is almost all occurring at the base. And the rate has increased considerably over the last century or so, due to the loss of the beaches below resulting from the construction of groynes etc further along the coast, along with possible effects of climate change. They are sharp, white, and vertical because they get renewed regularly as the face falls off, leading to an average rate of retreat nearing a foot a year. Whether the loss of land is a worthy sacrifice to make for the scenic effect (and to get further away from the French ?) is probably a matter of opinion...

Probably works both ways too as it's just the same on the other side of the channel, the photo below is of the Chalky White Cliffs of Étretat, which is between Le Havre & Dieppe and therefore should be seen on the BON map too

No offense ,Andy J. Channel Coast rendering in COD was one the features I really liked. The water looked great also. Too bad the key mapping is so wonky in COD.
