Hi, when I activate the Vsync with a 144Hz monitor the fps are locked at 138fps . Why are they not syncing to 144 fps ?

Thanks

Need more info. Could be, depending on the game/GPU settings, that your GPU can't push 144 fps. What are your CPU/GPU specs?

My CPU is a Intel 4690k @4300mhz and the GPU is a GPX1060 6GB  with a Freesync (activated) monitor 144Hz 1080p and 8GB Ram. If I deactivate the vysnc it often exceeds 144fps .In IL-Cliffs of Dover I have no problems.

I'm no expert but from what I remember you shouldn't have VSync on in a FreeSync configuration, in the sense that there is no benefit. You should just use FreeSync.

You're pushing that 1060 at 144 mhz. As J2_Bidu commented I would turn off vsync both in game and GPU settings. Cliffs of Dover is not going to tax your system like IL2 GB will.

Estás empujando ese 1060 a 144 mhz. Como comentó J2_Bidu, apagaría vsync tanto en la configuración del juego como en la GPU. Cliffs of Dover no va a gravar su sistema como lo harán IL2 GB.

The Vsync must be enable always in Gsync or Freesync , because otherwise you will have a screen tearing in all games, according to experts this prevents tearing without increasing latency.

But I have found the solution to the problem: in the Nvidia control panel I had the Low Latency Mode setting in "ultra", I have fixed it only in "activated" and they have returned the fps to 144 . I don't know why but it worked .

Thank you very much everyone for the help.

Really? From what I read Freesync was all about not having tearing without VSync. I'll try to find some sources...

... aaaaaand...

You're partially right (see below). I was thinking G-sync. In Freesync it still seems to be an option of some value. Actually it seems the tipping point is if your FPS are above your monitor refresh rate, in which case you should just cap it to that value, or bring VSync on again, but I guess if FPS are floating capping would get you the best result. This Is not at all my case, since I'm getting 80-105 FPS and my monitor is 144Hz.

For gamers looking for the most fluid gaming experience, turning on VSync will ensure full frames are displayed when above the refresh rate range. In non-ultra-competitive scenarios, the input lag introduced is negligible and the benefit gained is an optimized fluid gaming experience.
