ShampooX Posted October 24, 2021 Posted October 24, 2021 Another nice one Na-zd. But did Germany use two tones of Dunklegrun?
MajorMagee Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 For greens there was RAL 6003, and RAL 7008, but either one of those could look like a variety of different shades depending on how it was applied (straight paste, thinned with water to varying degrees, thinned with fuel to varying degrees, sprayed, brused, etc.). Then there were was the lot-to-lot variations due to shortages of pigments, and lax quality control. 1
Na-zdorovie Posted October 27, 2021 Author Posted October 27, 2021 well as MajorMagee states, the difference in the colours was sometimes pretty big, especially near the end of the war or looking at the M.A.N. factory stuff. with a re paint in the field or just plain wear n tear, i believe the usage of whitewash played its part too
