moscow city blocked?

They do have their primitive aerostats there.  But they have no collision model and you can't shoot them down. ?

 

I always wondered why they even modeled Moscow at all if they didn't intend on using it.  Seems like a waste of development time and resources.

And as noted by Missionbug, on a couple of the eastern airfields you enter the 'No Fly Zone' taking off or landing.  Better not to model Moscow at all being it had little action, especially for the time period modeled, and leave an extra grid East for those airfields.  Many of the maps are not 100% accurate anyway.  Besides it eats up CPU cycles when populating the map in the ME.  I usually don't even install the Moscow objects and edit out the rest in the 'No Fly Zone'.  What's the point of putting bridges in an area you can't use?

becsaue the main reason i purchased this was because i wanted to see the big city from above 

and explore the areas around the city

any help would be much appreciated ?

If you want to fly over Moscow, download Warthunder and fly over the city in great detail. The city of Moscow in that game is exquisite.

I respectfully disagree. You can see Moscow from pretty far way already, and when you take off from one of the nearby airfields, it really adds to the illusion that you're defending the capital of the Soviet Union.
