what's your favorite ww2 tank?

The Super Pershing. A bit late in the game, but my god! Just look at that gun! It’s so long that the tip could have already entered the town while the rest of the tank haven’t even left the port yet.

For me it's probably the Cromwell. Not a heavily-armed tank killer but had speed on its side, with one instance of crews managing to jump across a canal in it.

S!,

This tank should definitely be in TC2. It's not a great tank, but it just looks cool :)

Hard to answer, In TC, my favorite tank depends on the situation:

  • hilly or forest area : T34 for offroad speed
  • city: M4A2 for fast turret and quick fire. Overall I think it is the tank I have the more fun with. The 50 cal is really useful to kill the tank commanders as well.
  • nice roads and flat ground: Tiger or Ferdinand

I wish I could love the panther but it is too hard, on my rather fast server, to have a good enough situation awareness to avoid getting flanked. And getting flanked in panther = death, while with the Tiger, you might have a second chance. I like the panther only when I have several teammates supporting me or when we are 2 or 3 in the same panther.
I recommend people to try other tanks than their favorite, I was a hardcore german only player at first and was forced to play allies because of balance, but in the end I love it and I understand better the strategy of each teams now.

Welcome to the club and good to hear. Yes, agree, one misses out a lot by not playing the other tanks in the game. They all have their own advantages/disadvantages and works differently and require different tactics, which many seem to miss.

I knew the Hetzer was small but I had never seen it with a human to compare the size and it is even smaller than I thought. ?

So I don't know if I like it more or less than before ?

Right? I bet some of today's SUVs are bigger than that. ?

That;s why it was popular with its crews. Easy to conceal and with it's low silhouette and solid  Pak39 75 mm L48 gun it could take on pretty much anything. Panzer crews were chosen for their small stature. ideally they preferred men   170/172cm tall ( 5'6/5"7 ) because tank interiors were cramped.

Tank or AFV? if AFV, I'd say the Jagdpanther (tank destroyer). That said, I did just finish designing a Hetzer from scratch and building it as scale as possible (R/C) in 1/12 scale, with first run today. Next up is to design and build a Stug.
