For TC its gotta be the Panther. I've had a lot of good runs with it. If we were to add more tanks I'd love to see the M18 Hellcat or M24 Chaffee

Yep Panther and Tiger II (with the Henschel turret) are the best looking tanks ever for me.

The Porsche turret looks terrible.

S!,

While isn't technically a tank, my favorite is the Jagpanther. If you have to limit it me to "tanks", then I'm a tiger (pz vi) man all the way.

Boring, boring, boring.

Churchill for me. I'll hedge my bets with thick armour and a 6pdr.

Tough, loud and cramped. Yet surprisingly versitile if you don't mind moving as fast as the jogging man.

Naming it as Porsche-turret is not correct. Both turret versions were designed and produced by Krupp. The fifty early turrets with the rounded front were just ordered by Porsche before they were outsorced, because Porsche was sure to win the contract and he wanted to start producing as soon as possible.

BTW I have a strange favor for the Panzerkampfwagen IV. No idea why.

The jagdpanther had some really good looking paint schemes. If we were to get that beast, the skinners would have a field day.

My favourite tank is, ofc, the one that's best at incinerating Nazis. So my first choice is the Panther, followed closely by the Churchill Crocodile.

Many of the things the big cats were not. I like both the Jadgpanther and the Japdpanzer IV L70 as panzerjaeger. Soviet side I have a soft spot for the KV-85/JS-1, solid gun, stronger  and better armoured than the T34/85, better ergonomics too. I like the SU-100, low silhouette, lethal gun, fast. Unfortunately could not carry much ammo. The Su-85 was not a bad one either.

M3 "Stuart" tank. It fought in every theater of the war, from hot deserts of Africa to Soviet Union to Pacific Islands to Indo-China. It's the quintessential "WW2 tank" to me.

In Tank Crew it has to be the Tiger.

But my favourite armored combat vehicle would have to be the Stug 3 would love to see it for Tank Crew 2 for Normandy.

S!,

Hopefully, Jason will announce the Stug III G for one of the two collector tanks that be available for sale 2nd quarter of 2022. I believe this announcement is suppose to happen this week :)  The other, I'm betting, will the the Churchhill. Both tanks saw action at Kursk.

He wanted to make the announcement this month. Maybe on the 31. or the 32. or...;)

Or it could be the Stug III F  or StuH42  and the T70 or SU 76. All 4 were at Kursk . If they offer a German spg they will have to offer a Soviet one and the SU76 would be ideal as it took part and was extremely popular with the Soviets.

S!,

Perhaps you're right Frinik. They might save the Stug III G for TC2?

I don't think that IC is compelled to offer 2 SPG/tank destroyers to cancel out each other. I understand your reasons, though. My thoughts are that the soviets already have 2 SPG/TD, while the Germans have 1. If they offer another SPG/TD to the Germans, both sides have 2 TDs. An early model Churchhill would be good for Kursk and provide a base model for future TC addons.  Of course, Jason and crew may throw us a curve ball and give us jeeps & kuglewagons, lol.

 to cancel out each other.

It's not to cancel each other but simply to preserve  a type of balance as all models are playable in MP. Are you saying that we will have to pay for the new models?

The Churchill with the 57 mm 6 pounder? A terrible tank, slow, under gunned, not manoeuvrable and with no HE shells. The only thing going for it was its thick armour which was the only thing Soviet tankers liked about that sloth. Hopefully they can give us the M3 lee instead if we are to have an another Anglo-American land lease tank.

Its also possible for the german side to get nashorn or brummbar as both took part in kursk too.
For soviets besides mentioned tanks: valentine is an option too.

Yeah, that's my understanding. I believe the new tanks will follow the business model of the AAA vehicles.

I did a poll awhile back to see what tanks the TC community would be interested in for the next installment/collector tanks. You'll find it here:

Valentine is an option too..

Let's not forget the Mathilda!

I am ok with paying but only insofar as they come with new maps and campaigns/missions.

Everybody is fixated with the Normandy campaign which lasted a bare 7 weeks,. How about the North African one which lasted 3 years? Or even the Italian one although tanks played a secondary role?

I've suddenly developed a love for the Su122. Might be that I've worked out how to effectively use the commanders periscope... It might be that the 122mm HE kills most tanks with a single hit.

What do you think of the overview in the SU-122. I would like to suggest that the developers add the ability for the commander to look out of the hatch and see through binoculars.

Yes it's the main thing that puts people off the Su122. I expect that's how experienced crews normally operated them, despite what doctrine dictated.

For me it's probably the Cromwell. Not a heavily-armed tank killer but had speed on its side, with one instance of crews managing to jump across a canal in it.

Cromwell1.thumb.jpg.4f29f4950ca5d8aae3c3f751e81f1a82.jpg

Although the Comet upgraded the gun to a 17-pounder, it saw limited service at the end of the war so it doesn't appeal as much to me.
