vol I worth it for multi and pwcg?

Hey guys I am wondering with the sale, and i have to be careful with a budget, is FC on par with BoX series when it comes to the PWCG and (lesser extent i know) multiplayer? because with BOX i have a blast with PWCG. keep hesistating since FC got into the sales category because more of a dubya-dubya-too type but thinking the slower aspect of first war air combat might be fun. its either this or yolo into normandy and the channel map

FC has incredible multiplayer events. This alone is worth playing it. A month long event is starting this Saturday. Flanders in flames

There is other events like Bloody April and black September. You will met great people from all over the world.

 

This is an amazing way to have fun and learn to fly.

It depends where you are in the world if you are into multiplayer.  I'm at GMT +10 and there is rarely anybody playing during regular hours.  Round here you need to be up around 5am to catch the MP crowd in Eu/USA.

There is another Australian server that does FC in the weekend. I can't remember the name off hand.

Yes. FC works fine with PWCG, plus the new Advanced mission generator is probably just a week away from release and there are scripted campaigns too.

MP has ok numbers most Europe and US evenings on J5's excellent Flugpark server. Thursday and Sunday are most popular with around 40-70 pilots.

As J2_Seya says, there are also events run during the year on Saturdays.

 

Sale price of FC is a real bargain for a full module. BoN is still full price of course.

I find fighting in WW1 planes is more visceral than WW2. You're closer for longer.  Dogfights more prolonged and critical damage harder to achieve with a pair of small cal mgs. Energy is life,  if you run out its very hard to get back.

Just bear in mind that there are no plans to include the Arras map in the AQMG.  You will need to wait for the FC2 map for that.

IMHO, it's worth it just for flying around. Period.
