He 112 and He 100

Hello,

this is my first thread here :salute:

I would like to suggest following planes to the developers wich are in my opinion very interessting and would be a great addition to IL-2: Great Battles.

Heinkel He 112 (used by Spain, Hungary, Romania and Japan)

Heinkel He 100 (used by Germany and Soviet Union)

Rumors claim that one of the 10 in 1940 to the SU sold He 100 still exist in a museum store in Moscow.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I don’t know if the 112 could be sensibly integrated into the maps we have - if yes it‘d be a cool addition.

The He 100 on the other Hand doesn’t fit the scope of this sim in my opinion :)

The He 112 saw extremely limited use with the German, Spanish, Hungarian and Japanese air forces. The only really significant operator was Romania, and they didn't much like the type and didn't traipse theirs all the way to Stalingrad, preferring the IAR.80. Happily, I've previously written up the only major campaign the He 112 took a significant role in, Unternehmen München and the Battle of Odessa, as a full proposal for a new game in the series.

A He-112 is a nice standalone Plane, but in the Game would just be out of place.

It is slower than an I-16 and climbs worse than a P-40. It can't carry Bombs or Rockets and is also completely unarmored.
It can't do fighter work, it can't do Ground Attack and is too slow to do Recce.

The He-100 is a Pre-Production Plane. It saw no Service worth Mentioning and there is only little Documentation on it.

This is not War Thunder where the Devs just push out half finished garbage en-masse.

This Game is well researched and based on a wide Range of Sources.

Oh no wait, let's get another Bf109 or Fw190 and when there are no more variants, we will make them up!

Come on, guys!

Mc.202, Mc.205, SM.81, SM.79, Reggiane 2001, Mc.200 and FIAT G.50.

Essentially the Med.

Germany is mostly complete except for Variants and maybe a  Do-217.

The Italian path is the way to go in the ETO. Germany is alone in the sim. There is no Axis whatsoever.

Malta has it all, aeronaval, torpedoes and Italian planes, aircraft carriers not to mention a great historical aerial battle.

I so would love Ark Royal and some Gladiators vs. FIAT Cr.42s.
