Crash Upon Logging In

I currently am experiencing an issue when I attempt to launch the app via Steam. After IL2 opens, I enter my login and PW and the game immediately crashes. The weird thing is, when I launch the app thru Apps and Programs and try to repair, it mentions that the game will run in Windows 8 compatibility mode. When I accept the changes from the repair and run in Windows 8 compatibility mode it runs successfully. However, I want to run the game in SteamVR and running the game from steam and trying to login leads to a crash.

1070 ti ASUS

i7 8700k CPU

16 GB Corsair DDR4 RAM

 

Oculus Rift s Headset

 

Please let me know if I can provide any logs from my local side. I have tried uninstalling Steam and IL2 several times with no luck. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
