low engine volume when panning/looking left

Apologies if this has already been mentioned somewhere (though I couldn't immediately find it if it has), but I noticed when turning head to the left, the engine volume drops significantly (though the wind noise stays the same) in comparison to turning head to the right. I have tried this with several aircraft, with each so far resulting in the same thing happening.

 

I haven't been playing much lately, so this may have possibly been introduced since the last patch, though not entirely sure (?).

 

Btw, I use a finger dongle on my throttle mapped to head movement (if this makes any difference at all (?)).
