Small question about quick mission AI pilot skill

Say I set up 4 enemy planes with the AI pilot skill set to Random. Does that mean a skill level is randomly chosen separately for all 4 pilots, or that one skill level is chosen randomly and then assigned to all 4 pilots?

 

In other words, can you end up with 1 Ace, 2 veterans, and 1 novice? Or will they all be aces, or all be veterans, etc.

That's some interesting question right there, looking forward to an official answer.

 

If I had to guess though, I'd say that the whole flight will end up with the same randomly picked AI level, since the AI can be only picked for an entire flight and not individually for singe aircrafts by the player in general.

During my VR setting up I was testing my settings in a lot of quick missions. I always set it ace. I have never lost a dogfight against 1-1 ace.  I have also tried a lot of other levels. My personal feeling about how they differentiate is the accuracy of their aiming. For the rest they are the same trash. 

 

They wreck their own engine, they can never recover from stall, if they are flying the spitfire with the carb floater and engine dies they just bail out. They sometimes just bail out or if they dive on you from more than 1000m higher than you they just go straight to the ground. 

 

If you are flying with AI wingmen in single missions they can shoot you when you are tailing an hostile. Or they can crash into you. Even during take off if you just move a few meters to lock the tail wheel and than stop they just try to take off while you are sitting on the runway.....

 

You got the idea I guess.
