pilotpierre Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 I just updated a 13Gb update after a 4 month absence and cannot access any of my purchased maps. how do I activate/access them? 1
pilotpierre Posted October 16, 2021 Author Posted October 16, 2021 The game or the PC. Will reboot the PC now Have rebooted both but still cannot access all purchased maps???????
453=SGII_Wotan Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 What do you mean by purchased maps? is that the maps you can access in quick mission builder like Moscow or Kuban ect pardon my ignorance I am a West Australian ?
pilotpierre Posted October 16, 2021 Author Posted October 16, 2021 All the maps under my photo that were purchased And the same maps in the quick mission builder. Very frustrating but I am assuming there will be a quick fix. I just need someone to tell me how to go about it. I can only access the maps that came with the game
Nadelbaum Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 What does the main screen show you in terms of the different modules? They are in red in the bottom right of the main screen.
THERION Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 59 minutes ago, pilotpierre said: I can only access the maps that came with the game Well, this statement of yours is a bit confusing for me, because if you say you can only access the maps that came with the game, then everything should be OK, except for the Normandy map, which is still under way and not published yet. And the other point is, you cannot purchase any map per se, as they only have maps according to the modules you bought. So, if you want to check the installed maps, then I suggest you launch the QMB (quick mission builder) and click on the dropdown menu on the upper right corner. Here you should see all accessible maps, except for the Normandy map, which is still under construction. Hope, I did clear this up and I didn't misunderstood your question/concern. Cheerio 1
JimTM Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 (edited) Try looking at your License key page, accessed from your profile page. There should be a Key activated indication to the right of all your purchases. Edited October 16, 2021 by JimTM

Multiplayer? Scripted Campaign? Career Mode? Quick Mission?
Gambit21 Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 Long time no see PP. I too was confused by “purchased maps”

As one module on one account and the others on the other?

Then it started occurring to me that there might be some unaccounted for confusion. After reading again, seems not. Filing a ticket might be best PP.
pilotpierre Posted October 16, 2021 Author Posted October 16, 2021 Thanks for your input gentlemen. Yes I have been absent for a while, I was diagnosed with terminal mesothelioma a few months back. I did 3 months of immunotherapy and that knocked me about some what. I lost all interest (and stopped participating in) my remaining 3 hobbles: IL2, model railroading and model making. When it was determined the immunotherapy wasn’t working my oncologist started me on Chemotherapy. Big turnaround so I hit the PC and copped a 13 Gb update. Down side of the chemotherapy and one of the pain killers is “Brain Fog” which is where I was at yesterday. I was trying to activate the maps through the red bars at the top of the screen. I eventually found my way to to the QMB and was able to access the maps through that. Once again I apologise for my brain fog and the long absence from the game that helped my confusion along. 6 1 10

Unfortunately mesothelioma is not like other cancers. It can only be slowed down. I was given 9 months to live 16 months ago so I am well past my use by date. Current prognosis is between 3 and 6 months. I have accepted it and have no regrets and being a Viet Nam vet we are really well looked after from age 70. All medical, hospital, chemist, dental and every other thing medical etc are paid by the government. When I do the final departure, those benefits go to my wife plus she gets a (non means tested) War Widows Pension for the rest of her life. I have been with this community since the original IL2 Sturmovik was first released. I am hoping to be here when BoN hits the streets. I think this will be the best one. 2

My father has been a N-scale and HO-scale model railroader for my entire life and recently I've caught the bug a bit myself. Have any photos of your layout that you'd be willing to share? I love to see what people have built.
pilotpierre Posted October 17, 2021 Author Posted October 17, 2021 It wouldn’t let me upload any more. But all gone now, one guy purchased everything including the layout itself. I sold the sound powered locos separately, including the Rapido GMD and GMD-1, the best runners and authentic sounds of the actual (different engined) locos. it was a point to point switching/short run layout along 3 walls of a 12ft x 9ft room 9 1 3

Guest deleted@50488 Posted October 17, 2021 Posted October 17, 2021 (edited) Pierre ! All of THE BEST for you and wishes of fast recovery ! Reading your post above where you describe your recent health experience was, in many ways, a good Lesson of Life ! Thank you for sharing it with us ! Glad you are back to business with IL-2 as well - playing IL-2 is, sometimes, one of my preferred escapes ! Edited October 17, 2021 by jcomm

In my substantial experience with similar matters of life and death, I've found that doctors' prognoses typically lean towards gloom and doom. It sounds like you have a good attitude, and you could be slingin' bullets over Normandy on D-Day '22. Best wishes to you!

I haven't seen so many point to point layouts so yours is one of the first that I've seen. Fantastic. Sorry that you head to let it go but nice that it will live on.

Love the shunting and industrial locations you've set up there on your layout! I'm sure there are a lot of nice memories related to it. Edited October 19, 2021 by Avimimus
