II./JG27_Rich Posted July 5, 2014 Author Posted July 5, 2014 (edited) Always been Mig-21 for me. Edited July 5, 2014 by II./JG27_Rich
II./JG27_Rich Posted July 5, 2014 Author Posted July 5, 2014 (edited) Found this also. Edited July 5, 2014 by II./JG27_Rich
Finkeren Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Got very little interest in jets, but if I had to name one, the SAAB Gripen is rather sexy.
sallee Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Same here..but English Electric Lightning does it for me. It's just mad. Perhaps a pure interceptor rather than a fighter though.
Leaf Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Just gloss over the fact that the wings were prone to breaking off.
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 F-86 is a sexy beast. And the devs just announced the next expansion pack is KOREA!!! Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all night. Please feed the trolls. She is a sexy beast though.

siipperi Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Su 27 with f16 b50 cockpit.... Heck I just love nato cockpits... Russian ones are so badly designed until these new 90s and 00 cockpits.
Cybermat47 Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Probably the Me-262. Not much in airplanes interests me if it's after 1945, I'm sorry to say. Though that F-22 is rather sexy... actually that could just be because my favourite Transformer is Starscream.
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 ^ Agree with Cybermat, also got more interest in early jets than anything modern. For germans of course the Me 262...this plane is just amazing of you ever stood infront of it. Must have been a dream to fly even with it's flaws! For the US I'd go for the F9F-5 Panther, really learned to lovet this one in WT due to it's great armarment, versetility and of course sexy look, 1
DD_Arthur Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Not that much of a fan of propellerless flying but if you're a Brit of a certain age and went to air displays in the sixties and seventies then this is the one; As Sallee says, not really a fighter. It's cold war role was to attain forty-five thousand feet as quickly as possible and loose off its missiles and Aden cannon at incoming Soviet bombers.
sallee Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I've been dipping into "Lightning Boys" recently. Some very interesting accounts. Don't normally go for jet stuff, but there's just something about the Lightning.
Mysticpuma Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt: http://youtu.be/s9pQDU1N2-g Beautiful aircraft
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt: Oh yea totally forgot about this one...the cannon alone is reason enought to love this bird! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCnjWmtfvFo Test shooting at min 1:00. Haven't flwon it anywhere apart fro Arma 2 by now (not to mention I just can't get into DCS's difficulty level... )
II./JG27_Rich Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 Good luck in that one as a fighter! Yes I would say an F-16 is a true fighter. An A-10 is more like an exellent modern day IL-2
II./JG27_Rich Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 (edited) The first one does actually get up in the air. I thought it was left there for spare parts but no. They are one tough bird Testing the canons 4:00 mins Edited July 7, 2014 by II./JG27_Rich
DD_Arthur Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 F-16 would have to be mine I think. Check this out; http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=73c_1404610601
II./JG27_Rich Posted July 8, 2014 Author Posted July 8, 2014 (edited) Here's a Mig-21 still working away this year. I see in his turn he actually has his flaps down. Edited July 8, 2014 by II./JG27_Rich
MarcoRossolini Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I thought I was so out there being a fan of the MiG-21. Instead it seems every flight simmer and his cat is in love with it
sallee Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 (edited) My cat liked the Saab Draken, so I had to have it put down. My dog likes the MiG 21. Edited July 8, 2014 by sallee 1

Instead it seems every flight simmer and his cat is in love with it I thought they were the ugliest damn things to start with. A paper towel tube with wings I use to call them. But my best friend Ray....who I met by the swing set the first day of grade one btw said I was an idiot and took me to his house about 36 years ago and showed me all of his Mig crap and info. I've been a fan ever since.

kestrel79 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 The Saab fighters always looked badass. The Draken.
siipperi Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Seems like a lot happy campers here that soon can fly sabre and mig21
