[RG]Flanker1985 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 (edited) Please don't misunderstand me by the title of this topic. I am not asking them to loosen realism for the sake of the balance. Please hear me out. I don't know developer's plans so far, but assume that they are going to release a few more planes before moving on to next theater. Can those planes be those below? LaGG-3 series 35 or + Yak-1B MiG-3ShVAK version Bf-109E series Bf-109F-2 or - The only reason I am suggesting this is because: I am sure I am not the only one who felt that LaGG-3/29 and Yak-1 is under talented against 109F4 and G2. That is more of job for S35 and 1B which both presented in that theater historically. http://simhq.net/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2181628/all/Soviet_in_service_dates_for_Mi.html And Bf-109E series and MiG-3ShVAK version (correct me if I am wrong) though phased out, but are still being used for support role in this theater too. By adding those planes, we can have a fairer online game with our friends.BTWMaybe even get a LaGG-3 Series 1, 4 and 11 against Bf-109E4 and 7 eventually.Personally I don't care how many version of Lavochikin fighters this game will release. I will buy them all up :D Edited July 4, 2014 by HarbingerFlanker1985
=VARP=Cygann Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 (edited) Having planes that are close match in performance improves online experience for sure by preventing some numbers imbalance issues, because even the most persistent sometimes wish they are not underdog every time they fly. It is less important to people that usually fly with friends because they can still utilize some tactics to come out alive from bad situations, but is very important to new players or even old ones that are for some reason flying alone without voice comms with other players. For offline games it does not really matter to most since AI will be predictable once you figure it out. This seems like a valid thing to consider when adding new planes in the future, if the goal is to develop online component more for product longevity. Edited July 5, 2014 by EAF19_Cyclops
Praetor Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 The Emil series wouldn't be used. It would really not cost effective.
