Everybody knows him as "Sasha" Pokryshkin, ...Ivanovich is a bit confusing.

It is interesting that P-39 was disregarded by USAAF command "as inappropriate" for opposing Luftwaffe, left for Pacific theater... but Soviet pilots performed miracles with it.
