Reddog, you and this pessimistic business This is the quote where you are getting this whole pessimistic idea: TFS Developer Update – October 2018 - Announcements and Updates - IL-2 Sturmovik Forum (il2sturmovik.com) Mysticpuma said that he believed that what would be later known as Desert Wings-Tobruk would be released in June because he feared that Jason wouldn't want Tobruk to clash with the release of Bodenplatte which MP anticipated would be released in the spring of 2019. MP also feared that Tobruk would be released at a time when most simmers aren't really playing flight sims. Buzzsaw then told MP that his speculations that Jason wouldn't want Tobruk to clash with Bodenplatte's release (which was released in the fall of 2019) and that few people would play Tobruk because of when it was released were pessimistic, NOT that a summer 2019 release date for Tobruk was pessimistic. I hope we are clear on this now, Reddog.

I hope we are clear on this now, Reddog. Not sure which part you quoted me on but that's clearly not what I said. "Buzzsaw then told MP that his speculations that Jason wouldn't want Tobruk to clash with Bodenplatte's release (which was released in the fall of 2019) and that few people would play Tobruk because of when it was released were pessimistic, NOT that a summer 2019 release date for Tobruk was pessimistic." That's completely incorrect and not what was written at all, I have no idea how you quoted that which was not said, so let me clarify. I said Tobruk wouldn't be released at the same time as Bodenplatte and was correct. I guessed Bodenplatte would be released around Spring, so guessed Tobruk wouldn't launch at the same time and clash. I guessed at June for a Tobruk release if Bodenplatte launched in Spring using the phrase 'probably'. Bodenplatte actually released November 7th 2019 and very clearly didn't clash with Tobruk (see next). I said I hoped Tobruk would be released by August 2019 (if Bodenplatte launched in Spring) but that would be sad because players are out enjoying the great weather and the summer is never a great time (as history has shown) for flight combat sims, often with few players taking part as they are out enjoying that great weather. I said I hoped it would be released by August 2019 and was called "wildly pessimistic" by Buzzsaw. TFS actually released it on the 6th August 2020 which means I was a year out and "wildly optimistic". The release certainly didn't clash with Bodenplatte, did release in August, however my wildly pessimistic guess was actually a year more optimistic! I hadn't intended to continue in this thread but won’t be quoted out of context for something that was clearly not said and implied. I was called "wildly pessimistic" for saying Tobruk wouldn't release until August 2019 and I was actually "wildly optimistic" by a year. Thanks.

Thanks. Please, could you say that will be released tomorrow? So we will have to wait just a year... ? 4
