taffy2jeffmorgan Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Hi All, I have just copied my game input files and sent them to my documents for safe keeping, if I ever have to do a reinstallation of BoS how do I then transfer the saved input files to the new install, could you show me a path to follow. Cheers
Rjel Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 (edited) If you saved the entire folder called Input then all you need to do is right click on the saved folder and copy it into the game directory called IL-2 Great Battles Sturmovik>Data and over write the existing Input folder. If you just saved the content of the Input folder only, copy those files to IL-2 Great Battles Sturmovik >Data>Input. Edited October 10, 2021 by Rjel
taffy2jeffmorgan Posted October 10, 2021 Author Posted October 10, 2021 Thanks very much for the information.
Jade_Monkey Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 If you really like your in-game settings and you don't want to figure them out again, also back up the following file: IL-2 Great Battles Sturmovik >Data> startup.cfg
ACG_Bobo Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 (edited) I created an IL-2 recovery folder that contains: input folder, planes folder (for cockpit pics in textures), screenshots I want saved, skins I want saved, career folder if you have a single payer event going on, very important startup file and finally a screenshot of my graphics setup in game in case something gets screwed up. Jade_Monkey Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 If you have made any changes to the Nvidia control panel for IL2 also take a screenshot. I'm kicking myself that I don't have my last settings that worked so well.
