Key bindings doing my head in. Is there a video on very basics?

I have really struggled with key bindings, commands rarely do what I expect. I can't turn the turret without firing the machine gun, nor can I bind the turret to a joystick. I've watched many instruction videos but I can't seem to find one that covers all the basics. I can move the tank, but having to hold a mouse button while aiming is extremely awkward and the gunsight moves all over the place, making fire inaccurate, and straing my hand. The control setup seems schizophrenic. Can anyone recommend a good video that covers all this?

I'm using HD reverb VR if that makes any difference....

Not sure what is going on in VR sorry. I do not use VR. But if you press ESC and choose "station notes" from the menu. It should give you a list of all the station controls. The tabs across the top of that menu may ever give you a graphical repesentation.

Make sure you selected 'Joystick' in the settings' Input Devices for the Tank Turret Control, too. It has nothing to do with the joystick control for aircrafts.

That very thing had me talking to myself for a while! No matter what I mapped, the joystick didn't move the turret until a friend pointed out that setting.
