It's been a while since I've made it into one of your videos, last time was Kette II where I was in the Bristol. Even though I died in the end, I put up a better fight in that clip.

This time I am the Nieuport, and though I did manage to escape (heavily wounded), I am so disappointed in the way this fight went.

I don't want to turn this into an FM discussion, nor start a fight (you flew well, as you usually do), but I would like to hear your perspective on the fight.

I came into that fight with both speed and altitude advantage, the initial pass was not so tight to have bled off too much of that energy, and my attempt to climb out should have kept me in control of the fight. The problem, as I see it, is the Pfalz's ability to go into that prop hanging stall, drop your nose below the horizon (for three seconds at most!), and then climb back up to me (keeping in mind that I was climbing the whole time).

I lost the fight as soon as I saw you coming back up to my altitude,  with energy to get behind me, thus forcing me to give up altitude for maneuvering. Every single stall/climb after that you gained altitude on me. It didn't help that I was wounded by the second pass, but considering the way the Pfalz builds energy, I don't think it mattered.

So, from your perspective, was there some error on my part? Did I over commit? I fly the Pfalz somewhat regularly, enough to know it is an excellent stall fighter, but not a UFO, so perhaps it's a case of the Pfalz being a bit too generous with energy, whereas the Nieuport suffers excess bleed.

It's just frustrating to have lost the advantage so easily, especially when the initial prop hang should have left you on the bottom of the energy pool. A move like that should be a mistake, yet here we are with you the victor, and me turning tail. Anyway, your thoughts...
