Alfaunostebas11 Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 It happens systematically that, after about 10-20 minutes from turning on the PC, announcements arrive on the availability of new versions of programs, with the request for an update (typically Adobe, Antivirus, etc.). They manifest themselves with the typical window on the bottom right of the screen. The problem is that they take priority over the running program and when I am flying with IL-2 Sturmovik, the plane is no longer controllable from either the Joystick or the keyboard and ends up crashing to the ground, unless I have time to turn off the ad, but usually I can't. I ask if there is a system (surely there will be ...) to prevent this from happening, by letting the ads appear in the background, but without interfering with the commands of the running program ... Thanks.
Jaws2002 Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 (edited) Are you playing the game windowed, or full screen? In full screen it should have priority. You shouldn't see the popups. Set higher priority in task manager for the game and controls. Other things you need to do is block windows from turning off your controls. go to control panel, hardware/ device manager, then select your controller. click on power management tab and make sure the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option is disabled, like here: You have to do that for all the control devices that show up in your device manager and also for the USB hubs, this controllers plug into. Hope this helps. Edited October 9, 2021 by Jaws2002 1
