VKB MCS Ultimate / NXT Button Mapping Chart

I am trying to work out how to best set up one of these, or similar, sticks and would be interested to see how people set up their sticks for IL2.

 

Do you have a reference chart showing which buttons you have mapped to which functions for IL2 which you could share - it doesn't have to be a VKB stick, anything would help? 

 

One of the things I have been trying to get my head around is what type of button is best for various functions - my old stick just has buttons and Roll/Pitch/Yaw axis but I am now looking at Latch Switches, Encoders, Mini Stick, Two Mode Hat etc and I am thoroughly confused. I am hoping some mapping charts will help me work it out but any info or links to videos appreciated - I guess what I really need is a noobs guide to setting up a joystick - not so much the technical config but covering the different types of button and what to use them for. The software config manuals seem to cover what to do but are light on "Why" to do it.
