This is only happening in IL2, not in DCS. Here's a video of the FW-190 where I'm trying to set 1.15ATA cruise power:

There also seems to be interaction between the throttles when they are moved past each other, like the sensors are crosstalking:

I've set smoothing and deadzones in the Virpil software.

I have to say that I'm disappointed in this product.

Open a support ticket with Virpil, they are very good. I did on another issue with my CM3 throttle shortly after I got it - they paid to get it back to Lithuania, fixed it, and had it back in my hands in like 10 days. I was very pleased with the support I got on it. Mini stick was sticking in one direction and not smooth. It is perfect now.

Very odd you see the behavior in one game but not the other.

I've found that the manifold pressure in the FW190 in IL2 always jitters around the point where it changes between cruise to combat and combat to emergency. I assume it's either something in the engine modelling or if you look at the throttle in the cockpit you can see it needs to get pushed through indentations so maybe that "step" is modeled instead. In any case, that's not the issue you are having but this quirk/feature/meticulous-attention-to-detail/whatever is made more apparent in this airplane because of your throttle issue.

After more testing, I'm getting the same behavior in numerous planes in IL2 only... no issue in DCS and other than the interaction between the two throttles, no issues in any joystick testing software. I conclude that it's not the throttle itself but how it interacts with IL2.

I reconnected my old Saitek X-55 throttle and had no issues. I'm at a loss as to how to troubleshoot.

EDIT:

Ah, I think I found the issue. I had "Engines Throttle Control" (plural) as well as Engine 1 and Engine 2 Throttle Control mapped. I eliminated the Engines Throttle Control and it's now smooth. Not sure what to do about the 3 engines on the Ju52 but I'm not that concerned at this point. Why the X-55 didn't have an issue... who knows?
