In the Mission Editor I'm seeing AILevels from 0 to 4.  What are they, please?

In 1946, I'm familiar with

0=Rookie

1=Average

2=Veteran

3=Ace

But the 4 I found threw me, and made me wonder if the entire scale could have changed.

Thanks!

I'd think Random as in the QMB selections.

Totally different game from 1946 so the details of each level are probably different, but the concept is identical.  Low, Normal, High, Ace in the mission builder but I thought they are called Novice,  Average, Veteran Ace in other places in the UI.  In the mission files the actual value is a number: 1, 2, 3, and 4, so the name in the UI doesn't matter.

I remember SWOTL which ran from novice to ace... and I think one of the Tie Fighter games went novice to super-ace... so you'd get five to seven levels.

Huh? My mission editor shows names instead of numbers. Are you editing mission files with notepad?

0 = Player

1 = Novice

2 = Average

3 = Veteran

4 = Ace

Designating AI as player indicates that this is the plane the player will fly (Single Player) or a plane that a human participant can fly (Coop and Multiplayer).  In single player there should be only one player plane.  The player must own that plane or the mission will not even be selectable.  Less sure about Coop and MP, but it makes sense that any person who is allowed can enter the server but they can only grab a plane that they own.

Thanks for the replies, guys!

And yes, I've done a little of both using the Mission Editor and a text editor to make small changes.

And thanks for the AI scale, Pat.  The 0 plus a 4 threw me off.
