mg151/15,20 rounds not being able to cut the tank tracks

while the hispano 20mm and 50.cal rounds can cut the tank tracks

mg151/15,20 rounds couldn't (except BT-7 tank) 

i first tested this with mg151/20mm 

and i researched on wiki and it said it's velocity was reduced due to it's shorter length of the barrel (700ms)

while the hispano and 50.cal has much higher velocity (hispano 870ms ,50cal 890ms)

then i found out that mg151/15mm version of cannon has much faster velocity than 20mm version varient(850ms)

so i tested it again with 151/15mm cannon 

and the result was same 

tested tank below

t-34,kv-1,both of 75mm,76mm version of sherman

MG-151/15, with AP ammo should be pretty good penetrator. Should definitely be better than .50BMG.

I think i had some armor penetrating tables somewhere for this round. 

If i find it I'll post it.

 This is from the " Handbuch der flugzeug bordwaffenmunition 1936-1945" ( handbook on aircraft weapons 1936-1945)

The 15mm ap rounds can pen up to 53 mm of armor at the muzzle. Here are pen tables for a few versions of the 15mm MG-151:

 

 

 20mm version is about half as effective with a maximum of about 26mm penetration.
