MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries with VR Mod is awesome

Way back in the day, probably around late 90's early 2000, I was a big fan of the MechWarrior series. Flight and racing sims were my first love but Mech Warrior was not too far behind. 
So I was excited about the newer MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries game by Piranha. But then disappointed to learn it would not have native VR support.

 

That all changed recently thanks to a Modder named Kitt. He released his Mod for the game to bring it into the VR world. And after about 20 hours so far in the game, I can attest that it works quite nicely. When I saw this Mod was available and getting good reports I decided to finally purchase the game.  My 2d monitor gaming days are long behind me.

 

So anyway if you happen to be a fan of the MechWarrior series and love VR like myself, now is the time to check it out.

It is very easy to install and get running. I had some initial problem with the game crashing often on me, but found out that was due to trying to run DLSS in the game. Now that I have that disabled I have no issues at all.  I can run the game on Maximum settings in VR with my rig with the exception of Effects. Can't go higher than Medium for effects or I get great lag/stuttering during the explosions. I also do not have Ray Tracing or Fidelity FX enabled per the author's recommendation.

 

Anyway if you are a fan of the MechWarrior series and heavy into VR as I am, well worth checking this one out.
