i think we might gonna see it soon
in Dev post 69 they where saying they now just needed to finalize the cockpit before it was ready
and that was the  June 27 tomorrow thats a week ago
i think this might be the time if everything have been going as planned

We know where this peculiar sensation of Bf 109 is located and it doesn't fit the expectations (same thing as you experience, isn't it?). But IL2BOS is a simulator modeled painstakingly and with greatest attention to the most trustworthy tool that we have - maths. Current version of Bf 109 (as well as any other plane in the project) is a purely mathematical model based on all avalilable data on the original aircraft. And after the entire FM development procedure (2 months or smth, can't remember for sure now) we came to what we have now. And we CAN and we WANT to revise the FM for BF 109 because of the questionable rudder performance.

But being a flight sim (not an WT, WOWP grade arcade game) IL2BOS does not allow us to switch smth off, or to grab a "rudder hypersensitivity" slider and move it to minimum. The only way to fix it is to go thru the entire Fm production process. We plan to do that. Obviously, it has to wait until Fw 190 and He 111 are finished and released to early access, and lacking game modes added too. After that we will have resources to revise Bf 109 FM. You know, it is like developing a real plane back then in 1940s - we roll out a prototype, it fails our expectations and we have to put it apart all over again to find what the problem is.

Gameplay = very important for PC Games

Simulation = very important for Flight Simulations

Together is a successful PC Simulations Game

 

so not only many various Planes are important.

I must admit I'm not too bothered with the wait for the 190. I've already got it in any number of other sims. What I'm really hoping for us something new in gameplay. I hate to say it, but flight sims are getting boring now.

 

I must say, that I'm looking forward to it. The 190 has been portrayed very differently in different flight sims, and there seems to be little consensus about its actual capabilities beyond the facts, that it had strong armament, good low level performance and great roll rate. It'll be interesting to see, what BoS does with it.

 

As for the sim getting boring: That's always the risk of joining early access, that you get to experience new content in smal bits at a time, so that nothing feels fresh by the time the game is released. However, I also think, that variety in plane set is a very important part of keeping a flight sim interesting (which is why I still play the original IL2 here 13 years later) The Fw 190 will bring much needed variety to the German plane set, so I see that as a big step forward for EA.

A prediction: The Fw 190 is going to disappoint a lot of dedicated LW pilots hoping for a plane to dominate even more in MP.

 

For the rest of us it's gonna be a unique and interesting plane to fly.

I expect it to be quite a bit faster than the 109ers up to around 4-5km height. From there the engineperformance could suffer from insufficient supercharger performance.

Otherwise i expect it to have not as good of a climbrate but better rollrate than the 109ers. And most of all i am eager for the better visibility, rollrate AND firepower.

Also its by far the sexiest of the currently available planes:)

 

I am unsure on what to expect on turnrate thou. I am not that deeply informed of actual historical performance reviews.

It will definately become available in the shop as a separate addon plane. Prices yet to be announced.

I don't think the difference at low level will be that significant, but otherwise I agree.

That's my hunch as well. Not sure how that will affect MP if at all.

Visibility is gonna be a mixed bag I think. Forward visibility propably isn't gonna be that great, even though it hopefully flies in the correct nose-down attitude. Also the forward sloping head rest could obstruct quite a bit.

The extra firepower is gonna make IL2s a one-pull-on-the-trigger target, but other than that, I don't see much of a difference.

Also its by far the sexiest of the currently available planes:).

Eye of the beholder I think. To me the 109 F has always been the benchmark for aircraft sexiness (even though I'm more of a VVS pilot myself)

Me neither, but from what I've read it wasn't the greatest sustained turner, which I suspect will disappoint some people who have read Wikipedia articles about, how maneuverable the 190 was.

 

I also expect the A3 to hane a bit of CG issues, which was only truly solved with the lengthening of the nose on the A5.

yeah i see that it wont be a new update today..i was really hoping it would come today as they where finalizing it as they said..
things sure takes time...i hope we will get knock out preformance and realistic flight models for that extra time it takes
