WWII Romanian Air Force pilot equipment and uniform references needed.

We are looking for anything related to WWII Romanian Air Force pilot equipment and uniform.

Suits, parachutes, glasses, helmets, oxygen masks  - anything that Romanian fighter pilots used in combat during WWII.

I'll make some scans tomorrow about the oxygen system, but until then here are some Romanian Uniforms.

 

Romanian pilots used a wide variety of uniforms and flying gear. Lots of German gear was used everywhere.

Most wore some sort of German flying Helmets. Lots of photos of pilots using the LKP-101 , in both winter and summer variant.

At least for the IAR-80/81 there's one  brown leather flying jacket that was used a lot in combat, but some pilots also used some German jackets. 

In summer some flew without a jacket, using just the regular uniform and sometimes, in the summer, they even flew in the standard light blue shirts.

Romanian BF-109 pilots used typical German helmets, just like Luftwaffe pilots.

Flare gun:

Oxygen system. Up to airframe #75 the IAR-80 used a French system after that it was replaced with a German Draeger system, like in BF-109.

Officer's and cap insignias. This are pretty badly faded and bleached and i would take the color with a grain of salt, but the resolution is high. For color i'd thrust the museum photos above.

 

 

 

In some photos, the wings of this badge were a bit raised. Maybe different version. I don't know.
