Question to all Skinner about Albatros D.Va skin

This question may have occurred before, but I cannot dig through all the immense info in this forum - so sorry if I bring this up again.

 

My graphic explains the problem, or so I hope. Can anybody help me with this? Thanks all in advance!

That cover is part of the 3d model itself and isn't part of any texture. Sadly, there isn`t anything you can do to delete it. Annoyingly, there are a number of weird things like that on the albatros and pfalz 3d models. My guess is that they were using older schematics to make some of the models.

So I take it that even a good skinner like you couldn't tell any way to remove that lid?

 

PS/Edit: Just visited your skin stuff and downloaded the Pfalz D.IIIa - thanks for the great work; looks brilliant!

The only way to remove the lid is to modify the 3d model of the albatros. It's something only 1C can do.
