Super Slow Downloads

So I recently bought IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Bodenplatte and for some reason the game is installing ridiculously slow. I'm unsure why as I've checked my network connection and it is reading 100MB/s download speed while I am only getting 50kB/s MAX from IL-2. Does anyone know a reason or have a fix? Thanks.

I don't have this problem, the whole game download for a fresh installation took me about 90 minutes i think.

I remember reading that there was a problem with a server a while ago which was apparently fixed.

Try with a VPN from a different location?

I haven't played for ages, I'm getting 2.7kB/s downloading the 4.604 update, meanwhile the launcher CPU usage is through the roof. This seems like very odd behaviour and I am on the verge of uninstalling.
